DWIGHT Food Pantries at MCC

DWIGHT Food Pantry** is located on the Brighton and Downtown Campuses, as well as in the residence halls. Doing What IGood and Healthy Together, or DWIGHT, is a campus food pantry initiative created to support students in need of food and additional resources to help those who are having difficulties making ends meet.

Locations and Hours:

  • DWIGHT @ Brighton Campus: Building 3, Room 125 (next to the Bookstore), Open Monday thru Friday, 9:00am to 4:30pm*
  • DWIGHT @ Downtown Campus: Student Engagement Suite 310, Open Monday thru Friday, 8:45am to 4:45pm*

*DWIGHT is closed on all college holidays and may be closed without notice due to staffing.

**Some additional assistance may be found through the financial aid office and applying for SNAP through Monroe County, which can be done right here on campus.

Community Resources

  • Foodlink Food Locator: This interactive map will help you locate Foodlink’s meal and food box distribution sites, student meal sites, and more.
  • 211/LIFE LINE: A 24/7 information and referral service serving Monroe, Wayne, Ontario, Livingston, Cayuga, and Seneca counties. They offer assistance and referrals for emergency food, shelter, clothing, crisis counseling, substance abuse issues, employment, financial and legal issues, physical and mental health needs, and more. If you need help – just ask! Spanish-speaking tele-counselors and other translation services are available.
  • Monroe County Area Food Cupboards: Food cupboards help meet emergency food needs. Each cupboard operates as a neighborhood volunteer unit covering a specific area and receives support from its local churches and funders. Each has a well-defined set of rules for eligibility, with referrals generally made through the local clergy or social agencies. For more information, please do a Google search with the keywords “Monroe county area food cupboards” and/or call 2-1-1 to find a food pantry or one of the food access programs near you.
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) may be a longer-term support food support option, if you qualify. Eligibility requirements and the application process for New York State are located at the provided link. If you have questions about the SNAP application, or you need assistance with completing the application, please visit the Financial Aid Office.
