DHS @ MCC

The Monroe County Department of Human Services (DHS) provides services on campus on the second Wednesday of each month. Services available include:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
    • Check your eligibility via the NYS myBenefits prescreening form
    • Sign up for benefits
    • Re-certify your benefits
    • Updating your contact information (DHS now needs an updated address)
    • Switch your status from ABAWD (Work) Rules to Student Rules, if needed, before February 2026 
  • Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) – including checking eligibility and signing up
  • Safe Sleep
  • Child Support
  • Childcare Subsidies
  • Emergency & Temporary Assistance – including checking eligibility and signing up
  • Mental Health Resources

DHS will be on campus on the following dates from 10:00am to 1:00pm:

  • Wednesday, November 12 – Brighton Campus, Student Life & Leadership Development Office
  • Wednesday, December 10 – Downtown Campus, Student Engagement Center
