DHS @ MCC
The Monroe County Department of Human Services (DHS) provides services on campus on the second Wednesday of each month. Services available include:
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) –
- Check your eligibility via the NYS myBenefits prescreening form
- Sign up for benefits
- Re-certify your benefits
- Updating your contact information (DHS now needs an updated address)
- Switch your status from ABAWD (Work) Rules to Student Rules, if needed, before February 2026
- Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) – including checking eligibility and signing up
- Safe Sleep
- Child Support
- Childcare Subsidies
- Emergency & Temporary Assistance – including checking eligibility and signing up
- Mental Health Resources
DHS will be on campus on the following dates from 10:00am to 1:00pm:
- Wednesday, November 12 – Brighton Campus, Student Life & Leadership Development Office
- Wednesday, December 10 – Downtown Campus, Student Engagement Center
