MCC Corporate College
MCC responds to the needs of the regional and national workforce with innovative learning solutions to help businesses, industries, agencies and individuals maintain a competitive edge. Through MCC Corporate College, courses are delivered as both open-enrollment and custom-training solutions, with credit and noncredit options. Among the newest offerings is the Launch Your Business! program. Aspiring entrepreneurs from all disciplines learn to start/grow a business and receive mentorship leading up to their final business pitch in competition for venture funding. MCC works with over 200 employers and organizations in the public and private sectors to provide workforce training. Led by its Economic and Workforce Development Center’s efforts, the College uses labor market intelligence to shape its education and training programs and develop solutions to employers’ current and emerging workforce needs. Setting High Benchmarks
MCC is among the best U.S. colleges for military-connected students, according to Military Times.

MCC’s Entrepreneurial and Applied Business Studies is ranked among the nation’s top 20 online associate degree programs in entrepreneurship by BestColleges.com.

Graduates of MCC’s nursing, radiologic technology, surgical technology and dental hygiene programs perform well above state and national averages on certification and licensure exams, achieving pass rates of 100% in 2017-18.

For the third straight year, Cabbages and Kings, a student-run literary and visual magazine, took first place in the American Scholastic Press Association’s annual competition.

Maria Brandt, professor of English, is the 2019 recipient of the American Association of Community Colleges’ Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty honor for going above and beyond to support students in and outside the classroom.

Faculty and staff have received 132 SUNY Chancellor’s Awards recognizing excellence in teaching, faculty service, professional service, librarianship, classified service, and scholarship and creative activities.

Community Impact

Since 1993, the MCC Foundation has awarded more than $14.6 million in scholarships, including $1.5 million in 2018-19 alone.

By participating in Education Design Lab’s Single Moms Success Design Challenge, MCC is helping raise completion rates for single mother learners by 30% by 2024.

MCC strengthens families and communities by developing, cultivating and sustaining clear educational pathways from early childhood through career. Here are several key initiatives through which MCC helps underrepresented and/or at-risk students achieve academic success:

4,639 high school students from 47 schools and BOCES locations took MCC courses for college credit in their home school in 2018-19. Through partnerships with high schools, MCC offers nearly 80 different courses for dual-enrollment credit.
