Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna Named to American Association of Community Colleges Board of Directors

Brighton, N.Y. – June 23, 2025 – The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) announced it has elected Monroe Community College President Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna to its Board of Directors. The AACC represents and advocates for nearly 1,000 institutions and more than 10 million students nationwide.
“It is a tremendous honor and privilege to have been chosen for this prestigious group of leaders, and for such a pivotal time as this across higher education,” said Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna, Monroe Community College President. “I am energized to start advocating for MCC on a national level and to bring awareness to the work our College has done to lead the way in catalyzing bright futures for our community and its people.”

The AACC provides a national voice and advocacy for the community college mission. It serves as a national information resource by creating opportunities for peer networking and interaction at all levels, promoting professional initiatives, fostering dialogue, and building community.
