Nearly 1,500 MCC Students to Earn Degrees and Certificates

WHAT: Monroe Community College will confer associate degrees and certificates in career and transfer programs to its class of 2023 at its 60th annual Commencement.
WHERE: Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial in Rochester
WHEN: 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25
DETAILS: The Message to the Graduates will be delivered by keynote speaker Adrian Hale ’14, a Greater Rochester civic leader, New York State Board of Regents member and MCC alumnus.
The MCC Class of 2023 comprises 1,421 graduates.
- The majority of MCC graduates (approximately 60 percent) plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities and continue their education.
- Approximately 81 percent of graduates who continue their education do so at a SUNY/CUNY institution.
- Of career and certificate program graduates who are employed full time, approximately 90 percent work in Monroe or an adjacent county.
- Top majors based on degrees to be conferred include liberal arts and sciences, business administration, nursing, psychology, and health studies.
