MCC Proud: Meet Chloe Allen

July 23, 2025

Chloe Allen, Assistant Director of Student Life and Leadership Development, has worked at Monroe Community College (MCC) for three years. As assistant director, Allen works with clubs and organizations across campus, while also overseeing the DWIGHT food pantry and leadership program!

Allen received her associate’s degree in liberal arts from MCC before transferring to SUNY Geneseo, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English. She also received her master’s degree in higher education administration and student affairs from Nazareth University. She is a graduate of the United Way’s Emerging Leaders Development Program.

While attending MCC, Allen participated in the student leader program, an experience that played a key role in shaping her career path. “I always knew I wanted to work on a college campus, but was not sure in what capacity,” she said. “After my experience at MCC, the goal was always to come back and work in the program that helped shape me as a person. And now I get to!”

Since joining MCC, Allen has received numerous accolades, including the Student Government Association’s Champion Award. Furthermore, in her role as Phi Theta Kappa advisor, she has successfully upheld the organization’s recognition as a five-star chapter. In fact, during her first year as advisor, MCC won Most Distinguished Chapter in New York and placed in the top 50 internationally.

When asked about her favorite MCC memories, Allen shared that traveling with students stands out as one of the highlights. “I have been lucky enough to go on amazing trips with students, some of whom have never left Rochester, NY, and it is such an honor to bring them on trips,” she said. “My favorite is flying with students who have never been on a plane before!”

Allen encourages students who are considering enrolling in MCC to get involved on campus. She added, “Give joining a club or organization a chance. That one small choice can lead you on a journey you never expected, and helps open so many doors of opportunities for you. You also might just meet the community you have been searching for!”

Outside of MCC, Allen is busy being a mom. “I am a first-time mom to a beautiful baby boy who recently just turned one year old, and I am loving this new journey of motherhood,” she said.

Allen is also still connected to Water for South Sudan, which she was introduced to as a student.
