Travels with Tiberius: Spring Fling

May 8, 2025

Student Life and Leadership held its annual Spring Fling at Brighton Campus on Wednesday. This year, due to a lot of particularly rainy days lately, most of the activities were inside the PAC center. Tiberius took a stroll among the activities and food trucks, and we asked our fearless mascot about his experience.

Veronica: How did you feel about the new location this year?
Tiberius: I have to say, being mostly inside when it may rain is much more conducive when you are made of paper.

Veronica: Food trucks – there were three and, of course, one for ice cream. Which was your favorite?
Tiberius: I’m a sandwich type of guy because I am flat like a piece of bread, so I’d say Roc City Sammich. Although I think someone should tell them that the word sandwich is misspelled.

Veronica: I see you got a T-shirt. Did you tie-dye it?
Tiberius: It is really hard to tie-dye when you don’t have bendable arms. So, I opted just to get photographic proof when I visited that table.

Veronica: What other activities did you take part in?
Tiberius: I tried to paint some rocks, but the same problem – no bendable arms. Then I tried my hand, ahem, foot at this soccer pinball-like inflatable thing.  That didn’t work. Then, two things I just watched other people do because I am not as fearless as many may think – some kind of inflatable that had a big spinning blowup lever, and you had to duck or jump to avoid getting hit. There was also a mechanic bull. Now that, if I had bendable knees, I may have tried!

Veronica: Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about that you enjoyed?
Tiberius: I did have some yummy desserts at the PAC center and then tried to work it off by busting a move to tunes from the Pulse. I mean, these flat abs don’t happen by accident!
