Event to Assist Military Members, Veterans and Families in Transitioning to Civilian Life and College

WHAT: Monroe Community College will host an informative event dedicated to the needs of military veterans, active-duty members and families, including support in transitioning to civilian life and college.

WHERE: Warshof Conference Center in the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center on MCC’s Brighton Campus, 1000 E. Henrietta Road; parking is provided in lots M and N. (See campus map.)

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24

DETAILS: Participants will have an opportunity to:

  • Learn about the educational benefits available through the GI Bill and other Veterans Affairs supports;
  • Find out more about local resources that provide vital services and assistance for veterans;
  • Meet with regional college representatives;
  • Talk with experts on financial aid and college readiness; and
  • Explore the many educational options MCC offers.
