COVID-19 Community Testing Site Opens on MCC’s Brighton Campus

January 19, 2022

BRIGHTON, N.Y. – Monroe Community College’s Brighton Campus will host a state-operated COVID-19 testing site open to the public, beginning Friday, Jan. 21.

Testing will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Gilman Lounge (rear of the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center) and is free to all eligible New Yorkers. Appointments can be scheduled online; walk-ins are welcomed. Parking is provided in lot M. Signs will be posted outside around campus to direct the public.

“MCC is privileged to support the governor’s ongoing efforts in increasing the availability of COVID testing to more residents in the greater Rochester region. We welcome community members to our state-operated, walk-in site on the Brighton Campus,” said MCC President Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna. “Public health experts advise that testing, vaccines and boosters can help slow the COVID spread and protect our loved ones. MCC has played a major role in the state’s efforts in mitigating the spread of coronavirus since 2020, when the Brighton Campus hosted a drive-through testing site.”
