MCC President’s Stance on COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement

August 24, 2021

Dr. DeAnna R. Burt-Nanna

“Among the top five priorities Monroe Community College set for the 2021-22 academic year and beyond is safely and compassionately returning to in-person learning and work. MCC is in lockstep with the SUNY system in following the state-mandated directive for students taking in-person classes to be fully vaccinated or to submit a qualified medical or religious exemption by September 27, 2021. Getting vaccinated is the best defense we have against COVID-19. One of the things that makes MCC such a special place is a strong sense of community and care among our students, faculty and staff. We are confident our MCC family will come together once again to do its part to keep our college safe and help us return to more normal operations in the fall semester. We strongly encourage students and employees to regularly check MCC’s website for updates.”
