The Lagerway – Prather Gallery

Established in 2011, the William H. Lagerway and Faith Prather Endowed Scholarship for Students in Photography celebrates talented students pursuing careers in photography. Portfolio work and essays are juried annually for this prestigious award. Students intending on transferring to a four-year college with the goal of pursuing a career in photography are encouraged to submit an application during the spring semester.

The Lagerway – Prather Gallery is dedicated to the memory of William H. Lagerway and the generosity of Faith Prather, as well as the hard-working students whose images are displayed on its walls. Scholarship recipients’ work is labeled and displayed in building 12 during the summer months and one framed photograph is hung in a prominent location in the Lagerway – Prather Gallery for an entire year.

The Lagerway – Prather Gallery is located in building 4 (near the photography studio) and all the recipients’ photographs are on permanent display.
