A Message to Student Leaders from Chair of the Complete to Compete Committee

Phi Theta Kappa member in full regalia at graduationIn April 2010, leaders of six key organizations in higher education signed Democracy’s Colleges Call to Action to engage all stakeholders in supporting community college completion. The goal of the Call to Action is to produce 5 million more associate degree and certificate holders by 2020. Upon this Call to Action, the International Officers of Phi Theta Kappa, have formed Complete to Compete to educate students across the world on the importance of completing their Associate’s Degrees. Dr. Ann Kress has taken on the challenge to increase the number of graduating students as the President of Monroe Community College, and she has appointed the Alpha Theta Iota Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa to take action in implementing specific goals by setting up the Monroe Community College Compete to Complete Committee.

Officers for Phi Theta Kappa are committed to college completion! Will you, the students of MCC, be committed to yourselves, your college, and your nation?
