Implementing the SUNY-MCC Print Program is Ongoing

Removal of Single Function Printers from the 3rd Floor of the Spina Administration Building and the North and South Faculty Towers is under review by the Managed Print team.

We have been charged with providing a detailed plan for removal of devices that includes a schedule that takes into account timing for the least amount of disruption to the Department, as well as the limited staff we have to perform the removals. This work is ongoing and we will provide an update once the schedule is approved.

For those in the Faculty Towers – please note that removal of printers will not happen before Fall 2023 Finals are over.

Removal of old Xerox Multi-Function Devices will continue as we work our way from Building to Building or, as necessary for Departments in need.

Trying out the New Devices

Please help us test the capabilities of these machines.

For our part – The Managed Print Team understands these devices to be efficient, quiet and user-friendly. What do you think? Add the Brighton – Print Release stations to your printer list and try running some jobs. Email the Managed Print Program to let us know how it goes – we want to know.

Remember – these devices not only print but, they also scan to your e-mail and copy. And, any MCC Employee can print to the new network HP machines in the Towers. You’ll need to add the printer – see the FAQ webpage for instructions. For security and confidentiality – your job will not print until you release it.

If you print to a Print Release Station, you can pick up your job at any Print Release Station printer. Tap your MCC ID badge at the printer and your sent print jobs will pop up. Then you can select which jobs to print.

Please Note: Print Jobs submitted that are not released are purged after 24 hours.

Have a question or comment not addressed in the FAQ’s? Please email the Managed Print Program. Do not submit requests for service or broken printers to this e-mail address but, continue to submit help desk tickets.

Thank you for your continued support and participation in this process.
