The portrait dominates the middle of the canvas. Her outfit is a bit abstracted to personify her unique personality. With head tilted off to the left of the canvas she slyly looks at you with strength and confidence. Her arms are gently held behind her and there is a slight leaning in her stance. The portrait is from the top of her head (just slightly cropped off at the top) to mid hip range. She wears a yellowish blue skirt abstracted a bit in the brush marks and her shirt is mostly a grey white loosely fitting. Her hair is pulled back yet loose. She projects beauty, simplicity and a strong personality.

This relief print (white lines on a black ground) shows someone I am calling Leroy and a “monster” in the same frame. The monster is not really a bad one, nor is he ordinarily mean, but he has had a bad day, as we all do from time-to-time. Our protagonist, Leroy is shown pointing his finger at the monster, who is looking quite ashamed and embarrassed. What Leroy is saying is recorded on the print. This is what appears: “Leroy boldly scolded the monster for frightening the children and being a bully to the other monsters.” Coming out of Leroy’s mouth we see the words “Bad monster.”

A drawing done in a moleskine sketchbook. The drawing is gray scale, and is of two faces, one on each page. The one on the left was drawn with my left hand and the one on the right with my right hand. The drawing on left is an abstracted female and the drawing on the right is an abstracted male. There is a number of abstract shapes surrounding the two figures that look very chaotic. I am ambidextrous- I drew this with both hands simultaneously.

The image in this painting depicts a main entre of an imagined creature bearing combined attributes of a roasted pig, an accordion, and a hearty ice cream sundae resting on a serving platter kept warm by two flanking lamps typically found casting heat at dinner and brunch buffets. In the painting’s background is a dream scape of flying, fantastical culinary pairings reminiscent of the cheap, plastic toys that used to be so generously included within breakfast cereal boxes. The painting’s title, “Serving Suggestion” is hand-lettered across the top of the horizontally-formatted canvas in blue, cursive style. My painting is created by using fluorescent acrylics and spray paints. Naturally, this allows the painting to react differently when viewed under black lights as opposed to being viewed under warm or natural lights.

A crazy continuous line shape done with pen and ink. The doodle is filled with pattern and visual texture revealing a cubist style face in the composition.

Very pale, low saturation yellows, purples, and greens form a large, amorphous shape toward the left of a white and off-white square surface. A small black rectangle (1 x 2 inches) borders the left edge about half way down. It is a very layered and worked surface. Thin pencil lines show through the layers to different degrees. An irregular grid of small rectangles tries to form in the center, towards the top. Other scribbles and scratches are scattered across the surface. The overall quality is subdued, but with a subtle tension between order and disorder.

A figure merged with a statue of an angel in a Cemetery. The angel’s wings are spread wide, the folds of the dress merged with the body. The perspective is skewed to make it appear she is sleeping against a backdrop of a sandy beach. The edges are faded and the colors muted.

The word BREATHE is black and broken up in 3 lines: BRE / AT / HE. The type was hand-generated using a palette knife and black printing ink. The type is not solid—and you can see the background image through it. The type covers the entire poster. Behind the black type is a large bold red band-aid, almost the same size as the type. There are several red, rectangular bars which match the color of the band-aid along the edge of the poster.

A life cast taken from an adolescent girl positioned on the wall in a way she is day dreaming with her eyes closed. The cast aluminum has a patina that resembles dark aged iron.

Handmade paper quilt about 3 feet by 4 feet tall, comprised of 3 layers total to comprise a quilt. There are marks made by stamping and printing textures from fabric, cardboard, twine and items from nature including leaves and sticks. Made of handmade paper sewn together and layered between polyester stuffing. Three abstract leaves on twisted wire represent leaves on a vine and act as a focal point.
