For many years I have been intrigued with moving stop-action imagery within an environment. In college, I studied Duchamp’s Nude Descending a Staircase. These images were influenced by Duchamp. Duchamp was painting with time. I see these pieces as if I’m “painting” with time.

The screen images on the floor were made 33 years ago with an 8X10 and 35mm cameras. They are black and white photographs that are hand-colored with oil pastels.

The prints on the wall are very new. I made them between July and December 2018. They are produced with a camera that allows me to capture time in a new way.
