Indigenous Activism
The No DAPL movement stimulated many to “Stand With Standing Rock” against big oil in 2016 and incited awareness of critical environmental issues and climate change. Indigenous communities have long been aware of various problems of the environment and have reflected on it in their art practice. Indigenous Environmental Activism in Art showcases how Indigenous artists are raising awareness of environmental issues.
