Amy Yoes is an artist working mostly on painting. Photography, installation, and sculpture, are also among the media she has used. She grew up in Houston, Texas, and spent many years in Chicago. She lived in San Francisco for two years, and in 1998 she settled in New York.

Amy Yoes has her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has shown her work at Michael Steinberg Fine Art, Zoubok Gallery, other galleries around the United States. Yoes also has presented workshops and held residencies at Yaddo and The British School at Rome. She is a recipient of the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation Award, the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, the NYFA (New York Foundation for the Arts) Award, and the Abbey Award in Painting.
