Laptops are provided to the students at no cost through philanthropic support to the MCC Foundation.<\/span><br \/><br \/><b><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">The students experienced unforeseen financial barriers\u2014including access to technology\u2014that prevented them from continuing their education.<\/span><br \/><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Distribution of the laptops will be done on a staggered schedule to reinforce social distancing throughout next week. Preventive measures will be taken onsite to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.<\/span><br \/><br \/><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">WHERE:\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Outside the entrance to the Louis S. and Molly B. Wolk Center for Excellence in Nursing on MCC\u2019s Brighton Campus, 1000 E. Henrietta Road; parking is provided in lot K.<\/span><br \/><br \/><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">WHEN:\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Between 1:30 and 3 p.m.<\/span><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">today, March 26, rain or shine.<\/span><br \/><br \/><b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">DETAILS:\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">Last week, over 500\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #2f2f2f; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;\">MCC students responded to a survey about their technology needs. Some of the issues identified most frequently include laptop needs and WiFi access.
