Wilson, Jr. Foundation for responding to and investing in the needs of thousands of children and students in the K-20 pipeline and beyond and creating opportunities for economic and social mobility through its support of innovative approaches to workforce development.<\/p>\n<p>The Salute to Excellence event will recognize the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation for its philanthropic support of the Finger Lakes Workforce Development Center from concept to completion and for its continued investment in increasing the pool of skilled technicians and providing upward opportunities for residents across all ZIP codes in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The event will also honor the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation for its philanthropic support of hundreds of Rochester-area children and teens participating in the annual Be A Healthy Hero Summer Camp supported through the Rochester Area Community Foundation\u2019s Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation Legacy Fund for Youth Sports.Through a cumulative $5.4 million investment in students and their success over the years, the Foundation\u2019s gifts provide scholarships and bolster innovative programs, including fast-track offerings and microcredentials.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s event coincides with the celebration of the 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the MCC Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHERE: <\/strong>Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center, 123 East Main St., Rochester.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN: <\/strong>Wednesday, Dec. 6. Wilson, Jr. Foundation. Induction of four local business and community leaders into the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame will occur throughout the event.
