Greg Hinton, newly appointed CFO\/vice president of administrative services at MCC<\/p><\/div>\n

Greg Hinton has joined Monroe Community College as chief financial officer and vice president of administrative services. A combat Army veteran, he brings with him over 25 years of leadership experience in higher education, military, and\u00a0public and private sectors, with an extensive background in strategic planning, organizational and workforce development, national defense strategy, facilities\/capital projects, human resources and auditing. Having worked on strategic projects from reorganization to comprehensive plans for diversity, equity and inclusion, he has managed portfolios and capital projects representing between $30 million and $15 billion in funds, including most recently a $30 million college library renovation.<\/p>\n

As head of MCC\u2019s administrative services, Hinton provides leadership and direction in the areas of budget development, financial reporting, finance and accounting, student accounts, procurement, facilities, insurance\/risk management, public safety, and technology services.<\/p>\n

He holds an MBA and master\u2019s degree in human resources development from Webster University and bachelor\u2019s degrees in business economics and public policy from Brown University. He is enrolled in the higher education leadership doctoral program at University of Texas at Austin.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining MCC, he was vice president of finance and operations at Edmonds College and North Seattle College in Washington. He has served on various boards, including Morehouse College Parents Council, and is a mentor to student veterans at Brown University. His numerous articles on subjects relating to his background as a counterthreat finance analyst have appeared in various national publications, including the Defense Intelligence Digest<\/em> and Intelligence Today<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
