Rules & Submission

Rules

1. All MCC students, faculty, staff, and friends are welcome to submit solutions.
2. Solutions must be submitted by the last (non-Saturday) class day of the current puzzler month.
3. Those submitting correct solutions will be recognized by having their name posted on the puzzler webpage.
4. A solution will be deemed correct if it gives a correct answer and when requested, it provides the reasoning behind why the answer is correct and how it was obtained.

To Submit a Solution

1. Neatly write up your solution, clearly identifying the answer and clearly showing all work when requested.
2. On the Brighton Campus, solutions may be submitted in the Puzzler of the Month drop box in the Math Learning Center (11-204). Solutions at the Downtown Campus can be submitted to Michael Eames (Mathematics), office 574-M.

You may also submit solutions by emailing Steve Kilner at skilner@monroecc.edu (please indicate “puzzler solution” as the subject). Faculty and Staff may use inter-departmental mail as well.
