American Association for Women in Community Colleges<\/h1>\n

As the new academic year begins, we would like to reintroduce you to a committee that you may be interested in joining. The American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) is an organization that hosts activities and events promoting and supporting women in achieving their professional goals. It is also a chance for women at the College to get together and learn more about each other and their roles at the MCC.<\/p>\n

The time commitment for the committee is minimal, but the rewards are great! In addition to encouraging new members to join, we are also seeking volunteers to serve in the roles of president and secretary. The president oversees all functions of the MCC Chapter of the AAWCC, spearheads efforts to support and encourage the professional development and advancement of all women employed at the college, and leads the promotion of equity and education for community college women students. The secretary manages correspondence between the members and the organization and prepares meeting agendas and minutes.<\/p>\n

We hope you will consider joining the AAWCC! We have some fun events planned for the upcoming year and want you to be a part of them. Please email aawccevents@monroecc.edu<\/a> for more information or to join the group!<\/p>\n
